Local Events – Passport DC and The Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs

エイサークラブが次の二つのイベントに出演します。DCで行われる楽しい催しです。皆さん応援を兼ねてDCへ出かけませんか。 各国の大使館が集まっているDCならではの企画が行われています。5月に行われる、1か月間にわたって行われるパスポートDC と称される祭りです。 祭りの一環として、5月5日、土曜日はAround the World Embassy Tourが行われます。多くの大使館がオープンハウスを行います。 日本大使館では旧大使公邸をオープンし、日本文化の紹介、また新しい技術の紹介をします。中庭では日本の芸能を紹介します。沖縄会のエイサークラブも出演します。エイサークラブの出演時間は午後1時半を予定しています。応援にでかけませんか。改装された“旧大使公邸”を見学する 絶好のチャンスでもあります。諸外国の大使館を訪れその国の文化に触れることはDCにいながら世界をめぐる気分になります。入場料は無料、時間は 午前10時から午後4時まで エイサークラブは5月7日、DC市主催の“The Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs”にも出演します。歴史あるリンカーンシアターで催されます。開演は午後7時から。入場無料ですが席の予約が必要ですので下記のウェブサイトで予約をしてください。 二つのイベントについて詳しくは下記のウェブサイトをお読みください。 The Okinawa Kai Eisaa Club will participate in the Passport DC Around the World Embassy Tour on May 5, Saturday.  They will perform at Japanese Embassy around 1:30pm.  Please come and cheer their performance and enjoy visiting the historical building of  the “Old Japanese Ambassador’s Residence”. Passport DC is a month-long festival in May that pays tribute to Washington, DC’s thriving international culture.  As part of the festival, the first two Saturdays in May are devoted to embassy open houses.  Consider this your chance to stroll Embassy Row – a stretch of Massachusetts Avenue NW that runs through Dupont Circle and Upper Northwest – and visit some of the more than 170 embassies based in the nation’s capital. Thanks to this only-in-DC experience, you can take advantage of two chances to step inside a foreign embassy with the Around the World Embassy Tour (May 5) and the EU Open House (May 12).
